I'm primarily a nature and landscape photographer. That doesn't mean I won't delve into other subjects; barns and harbors are just two of my favorite non-nature subjects. I’m especially attracted to finding the patterns and graphic shapes to be found in nature and within the landscape. Making these discoveries is the reason I photograph.
I think it was Ansel Adams who said: “Photography is primarily an act of discovery and recognition.” It certainly has been for me.

Search Help
Search accepts required and omitted terms, and defaults to “OR” behavior.
With “OR” behavior, a search for “columbia gorge” would return all hits for either “columbia” or “gorge”.
To require a term, use “+” (plus); this would return images of columbia gorge, and exclude images of columbia blacktail:
columbia +gorge
To omit a term, use “-” (minus); this would return all images from Washington, excluding images of Washington, D.C.:
washington -d.c.
To search a string of words as if it were a single term, wrap it in either single or double quotation marks:
"Sol Duc Falls"
To require or omit a string of words, add the “+” or “-” sign within the quotes. This would yield only images of the Sol Duc River:
olympic "+sol duc river"
